More than 1,700 runners participated in the Bellin Run in 1981. Here, runners pound up Webster Avenue near Allouez Avenue in the second mile in 86 degree heat. The Bellin Run is a 10K race that began in 1977 with 881 participants. The event is still held today and had more than 18,000 participants in 2014.
