Aerial View

Taken about 1915 from the west side of the Fox River, this aerial view shows the Hartman-Greiling Company and the Walnut Street bridge in the foreground. The Hartman-Greiling Company manufactured ships for the U.S. Navy during World War I. In 1921 Northwest Engineering was formed as the successor to Hartman-Greiling and occupied the same location.
