Home to the Catholic Women's Club for over 40 years, the Green Bay Press-Gazette purchased the building in late 1963 and razed it in late 1964 to make room for a parking lot. The meeting place at 423 East Walnut Street was formerly the home of William Allen, owner of Allen's Saloon on Washington Street.
