Demonstrators were fenced off by barricades, but still made themselves heard as city officials and spectators greeted President Richard Nixon at Austin Straubel Field on October 18, 1970. The event was organized as a tribute to Packers quarterback, Bart Starr, but the demonstrators used it as an opportunity to voice opposition to the president's policies.
