In the 1890s the William Finnegan Brick Manufacturing Co. was one of several brickyards located in the Green Bay area. In the 1889-1890 City Directory, the company advertised itself as a "manufacturer of all kinds of red and white building brick" and offered "delivery by water to any port on Green Bay or the Fox River."
