This photograph from September 23, 1961 shows the Green Bay Packerettes. The Packerettes were formed by Bernie Matzke at the request of Wilbur Burke who ran Green Bay Packers Lumberjack band. The squad under this name was active in the 1950s while the Packers played at City Stadium. The Packerettes pictured are: front row: Alta Roy, Barbara Forest, Sharon Forest, Julie Hennig, Mary Forest, Rosemay Polza, June Joseph, Janice Merens, Katie Aerts, and Barbara Deau.
