"Blue Madonna is a printer tray assemblage layered with encaustic beeswax. She was inspired by how I have been feeling this year (blue) due to a death in my family and also by a collection of blue objects. The printer tray had removable slats so was the perfect backing for this assemblage and could stand up to the beeswax application. This piece reflects my spirit to continue creating even when grieving."
