Little Black Dress by Helen Carpiaux
Chlorite Sculpture (6" x 21" x 6")
"The little black dress has a rich history as a staple in women’s wardrobes. Starting out as an egalitarian “uniform” of working-class women, it has transformed into the present day “fashion statement” for all women of all classes. This is a legacy that has become so revered and cherished that the abbreviation of LBD is well known to women everywhere. This sculpture is a celebration of all women, past, present and future who have a desire to make an impact and look fabulous while doing so."
