Every Rose Has Thorns by Michaela Reimers

"All my life, I’ve felt like a pushover. I’ve let people walk all over me because I thought they would treat me nice in return. I’ve always wanted to stand up for myself and move on, but I’ve never had the power to do so, until now. Once I realized how much I was worth, it became easier to protect myself from negativity. A rose isn’t just a pretty flower you can pick and put in a vase. If you get too close, you’ll get entangled in thorns."
