"I reflect on the various surface decorating techniques I have learned in my ceramics work at the NWTC Artisan Center. I had tried most of these techniques only once, so this is a wonderful opportunity for me to go back and play with each technique again. I have chosen to recreate each technique onto a separate piece of pottery that is the simple, unpretentious shape of an egg so that the decorating technique will be the focal point."
