"This group of pieces, represents a cultivation of work, practice and determination. When I started experimenting with clay, I took 2 semesters of Ceramics while in school. I enjoyed it so much that I promised myself I would do this in retirement. I retired three years ago and have been taking classes in the clay studio ever since. It has been the best experience ever.
When I started taking classes years ago, my ultimate goal was to throw a piece on the wheel with a narrow top. It seemed like an impossibility at the time. Now, I feel that I have accomplished what I'd always hoped to do and mastered my interpretation of the "Narrow Necks"."
