James Arness-Matt Dillon of television's Gunsmoke fame- was one of several celebrities in town participating in the dedication of the New City Stadium. Held the weekend of September 28-29, 1957, events included a parade through downtown Green Bay on Saturday and a Packer win against the Chicago Bears the next day.
