Bishop Fox
This photograph shows Bishop Joseph John Fox. Born in Green Bay in 1855, Bishop Fox was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay from 1904 to 1914. He was appointed as bishop on May 27th, 1904 by Pope Pius X and was the first and only native son of the diocese to become its bishop. During his time as bishop, Fox built a new residency which later became the diocesan chancery.
