Job Corps

More than 25 trainees from Blackwell Job Corps center in Forest County watched the Packers practice. In this 1967 photograph, Coach Vince Lombardi chats with some of the trainees after drills. Located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, the Job Corps center was originally established as a Civilian Conservation camp in the 1930s as part of President Roosevelt's New Deal plan.
