Main Street Bridge
On October 14, 1913, a loaded street car sprinkler, weighing 35 tons, crashed through the west approach of the Main Street Bridge. Built in the 1870s, the wooden bridge was replaced in 1923. That structure was renovated and upgraded in the early 1980s and in use until the present day bridge opened in 1998.
