USS Green Bay
The first US Navy ship to bear the name USS GREEN BAY (PG-101) is launched at the Peterson yards on June 15, 1969. Built by Peterson Builders Inc, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, it was the sixth ship of the Tacoma-Class Patrol Gunboat and home ported in Little Creek, VA. It supported the Atlantic Fleet until decommissioning in 1977. This image shows its launching at the Peterson yards on June 15, 1969.
